Azure AI Search - Indexing Configuration
Azure AI Search - Query Configuration
Technical Prerequisites
You can provision an Azure AI Search instance via the Azure Portal.
The connector, as well as the search interface must be allowed to connect to Azure AI Search’s Rest API.
Furthermore for indexing data, the connector needs an admin key, which can be found in the Azure AI Search instance, within the Azure Portal:
For querying Azure AI Search, it is sufficient to have a query key.
Managing the Search Schema
The Search schema field and also the controls are described at Index Creation and Management .
The connector comes with a standard schema which is not mandatory. It contains, in particular a semantic search configuration for vector search, if you like to use vector search.
The principal index schema will be created when clicking on Create Index. This schema should not be changed and it is not displayed in the configuration dialog.
