Users can state questions and get answers generated based on your organization’s contents. Answers will however always rely on documents, the users also have access to.

Examples:

1. An IT administrator will get individual answers based on Confluence spaces, she has access to.

2. But an accountant will get answers from SharePoint Sites, she has access to and might be heavily restricted.

How does it work?

As our Retrieval Suite’s connectors are enterprise search connectors, access control lists and permissions are part of the indexed documents. Moreover, the connectors also index user-group relationships.

Documents and permissions are indexed in the search engine. At query time, the query pipelines execute the search queries issued by the users together with allow and deny permission filters for this user.
